An engaging EHS app, enhancing safety training and incident reporting for Fast-Food Workers.
👥 Collaboration with Louise Vedvik and EcoOnline
💻 Software: Figma
⏳ Project length: 6 weeks
🔎 Personal involvement: Research & design

The Project
EcoOnline creates software solutions that ensure user-friendly EHS management for a number of industries and companies across the world. We were asked to come up with a solution for better EHS reporting in the fast-food industry.

the challenges
Based on several interviews and user flow mappings with fast-food workers we found three problems we wanted to look closer at.

Solutions
Our concept aims to enhance safety training and incident reporting for fast-food Workers by adding personification, gamification and open communication.
PROBLEM 1: Injuries occur regularly and are to be expected
HYPOTESIS: Utilizing image recognition to autofill reports will make the process more efficient. Additionally, making the platform less formal will contribute to a better culture of incident reporting.
PROBLEM 2: Reporting often occurs through conversation and typically lacks feedback
HYPOTHESIS: Action logs and status overview, for incidents, helps the user stay updated on their reports. This will likely increase reporting rates and contribute to a better culture of incident reporting.
PROBLEM 3: The training modules are disorganized and unengaging
HYPOTHESIS: Interactive features and familiar elements — such as gamification, customized avatars and scenario-based learning will make the training more memorable and engaging.
Design Process
We used the double diamond framework to structure our work and navigate through the different phases in several iterations.
Additionally, we created User Flow Diagrams, which helped us establish a common vision and structure for the application as a team before starting on the wireframes in Figma.
